wards no more

    hmm,  I just was trapped in a room with the only exit being

    a warded door, no access to stairs down, and no items which

    would get me out of this predicament.  The only this which 

    occured to me was to try walking through the door anyways

    after a few smacks with a +3 sword the ward disapeared.

    I have no idea if the + of the sword had to do with it

    but it is a way through warded doors

    I thought one could walk through any warded door, but

    usually had some bad effeect occur as well.

    Walked through a ward causes one of your items to be 

    destroyed.  I don't know if this is automatic, however.

    once i thought it couldn't be items you were using

    but that was before it scragged my +3 +9 vs Valelon

    you have to be standing right next to the ward,

    being in the same room is of no use.
